I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Surprising detail:  A strand of chain is always attached to Chanel jacket flaps to add weight and prevent from flutter.

AW10 Faux fur collection

Come and play, Julie said, and I went over to Chanel HQ with my sand toys and Lego box. That was how casual it was, so organic; and despite that I don’t have a single Chanel piece in my wardrobe and do not intend to until one suits my salary & wardrobe, I’m falling for the brand. Their ideals behind brand-press relationship emits a certain humility that I don’t see in smaller brands and agencies that can’t even be bothered to write a simple Dear Shini in their emails. Oh the faux fur yeti coat, I was all oh whats that and before I knew what was going on Julie slid it on me, I promise I didn’t beg to try it on. The faux fur was so smooth it was unreal, next thing we’ll know they’ll be planting Chanel fur onto poor skinned rabbits.

I can’t get over how lame this ‘four point oh’ sounds, why am I doing versions anyway? Hello! Welcome to a new chapter of Park & Cube – the photos are bigger, this text area is probably still unappetizing, and hey it’s still me, the klutz! Do feel free to let me know if you’re finding anything’s uncomfortable navigating in this new layout, although it’s highly unlikely I will change anything now that every screw is tightened. Sorry, I just like to appear hospitable.

Looking forward to being more in your face, hope you don’t mind!

Who needs goodiebags and blogger gifts when a few balloons can win the heart? Oh Miele, consider me a lifelong client.

Sorry for stealing your balloons from the showroom btw.

Hark, a snippet of lifestyle of a CSM first year Knitwear student! Gyu asked me if I could ‘model’ (big fat cough) her pieces for her final assessment a few weeks ago, which I agreed to under the terms that I could paw her sketchbook afterwards. Pretty sweet transaction, body for art, yup. I heard about the spectacle sketchbooks of the fashion course, but I’d never seen one from knitwear so naturally I was  curious. If my first year sketchbooks were full with collages of paper and graphics (some incomprehensible illustration thrown in between), Gyu’s sketchbooks were padded with knit swatches and string manipulations. And with Gyu’s mad illustration skills she could easily pass as an illustrator (with incomprehensible knitted pieces thrown in between?). I’m keeping an eye on this one, something tells me her graduation show will be one good party.

World, there seems to be so much more to knitting than dinky little Christmas socks and fingerless gloves.

Jaw-dropping doesn’t even start to describe Ana Locking’s AW10 collection. This paint bomb landed in my inbox and it was one of those situations where instead cleaning it up, you start messing with the colours and eventually end up smearing it all over yourself. It’s just so hard to get paint off of you though, isn’t it? The collection made such a strong impression on me that now I’m determined to embrace a more exotic Winter look this year. (Not in the sense of here comes the sun, global warming, obviously) I don’t know if this also makes you groan in agony, but the wedges are apparantly coming to store soon.

I’m going to whisper to the wind, “I’m a size 39…”
