I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Urban Outfitters Pressday SS11

I wish I can do short and sweet when it comes to pressdays, but that’s just my personality I think, can’t keep things concise. I once left a fridge post-it note for my brother that went on about 4 notes just saying that the food is in the fridge. Well, I had to include introduction, literary review, argument and conclusion, no? At least that’s what they taught me in school, I guess you wouldn’t know because you didn’t stay in school or something… HRMPH FINE good for you and your short note writing skillz. So I guess my point is… I’m growing tickling fondness for the vinyl trend in footwear (refer to annex); blisters-in-the-making is apparently the new Behind the Scenes in SS11. I find that Urban Outfitters has an exceptionally good taste in their boutique section; they’re taking in different brands that somehow speak a similar language, or alike enough to carry through that quirky chicness of UO. Another favourites are those flat wedges by Won Hundred– very Anywho!

Thank you Amber for the invitation!

Annex: Since this will only be affordable once I join the Ocean’s Eleven team and be able to fit in a casino cart.

Thank you Jill for helping with the photos!

Here’s a peculiar situation – this blog was about DIY and cutting back on spend-spend-spending yet you’re seeing new items on me in every outfit post. Oh hypocrite me. There, I wrote my own mean comment – beat you to it, HAH. I’m finding myself not knowing what to do with little or no time to finish personal/DIY projects, while free clothes arrive at my doorstep every day. I’m absolutely thankful for the gifts, and I don’t mean to brag – I just wanted to acknowledge that the blog has indeed changed a lot, and so I’m installing a leash. It’s like a horse gone rogue after having one too many free carrots from the stable kids from the farm next door. Pull some potato cart, why don’t ya.

Please feel free to leave constructive criticism about the blog at any point in time, the comments are always open, I always read them. I’m somehow blessed with a civilised and engaged readership, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

Who needs goodiebags and blogger gifts when a few balloons can win the heart? Oh Miele, consider me a lifelong client.

Sorry for stealing your balloons from the showroom btw.

I was browsing through the stack of bloggable files just now and found these photos I’d done with Susan IN FEBRUARY. Why am I posting these in May, and not waiting a few months until the season becomes more relevant? I thought it was rather ironic – these photos were done after a deadly all-nighter for yet another deadline (Feb 8), and can you see, the exhaustion and fatigue is so tattooed in the entire mood and I thought SO accurately represented what I felt yesterday after that final hand-in. To think that was my last ever hand-in as a BA student. I won’t miss it much, to be frank.

Please consider this winter post a parting gift to the wretched cold season I would not like to see again until November at the earliest.

So the moving is done, big thank you again to Ellen for spilling my cornflakes onto the pavement while moving the kitchen contents box, I now have to add woodshaving into my breakfast but I don’t think I could’ve done it without you. I had to pack through the whole night to be ready when the Man&Van would come in the morning, and again this year, I packed my wardrobe thinking I’M GOING TO BURN THIS PIECE-OF-SHYTE BOX OF CLOTHES. This is my 6th time moving since I started Living in London in 2006, I find myself saying that every single time. You know those clothes that you bring to uni right after highschool and everything in the pile looks like an upgraded version of clothes that your mother bought you when you were in middle school. You just don’t know it then because the highschool version has tassels but it’s still the same childish crap.

Anyway I’m still here for 2 more weeks, I just had to move out of the flat because the contract had expired. I think I overworked myself because my entire right arm is a bit numb now and according to google it’s not a good thing.

Oh also for those living in London, if you’re planning on moving anytime in the future, I know the number of the perfectest perfect Man&Van who does moving work everywhere in London for a very cheap price and a very pleasant moving experience. I’ve never known anyone as humble and optimistic.
