I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Feathers – Etsy, Doll made by Ellen

Going cuckoo for feathers this season (no pun intended, lollerskates) Very tempted to follow suit of Carole Gould and take advantage of a dead bird for free feathers… also won’t mind if I can find a pretty bird and assist euthanasia, for it will most definitely be in pain from some discomfort or other, like styrofoam constipation or pea-brain Alzheimer’s…

Sorry about that second photo. I’m obviously slightly hungover from that flight back home – DEVIL CHILDREN… Turns out I’ve brought back 3kg more phat as a souvenir from the Turkey trip, how very memorable.

Well, I’ll check back later, I bled sleep on that damned flight and I’m a bit anemic.

My family were invited to the annual July 4th Independence Day party held by the American Embassy in Warsaw, the one we always show up overdressed and famished, like it’s a clothes-for-food affair. Trade in an unnecesary sock for that rare American cupcake (Such cupcakes are nonexistent here). That plus one on my invitation? Meet Ms. Stomach, my secretary. Funnily it’s also the one where we squeeze through a throng of who-are-these-people in the huge embassy resident gardens without seeing a single familiar face before ending up exactly where we started. I’m in the right party, yes?

So this year we left quite early, seeing that again there was no one familar, and the sausage tent wouldn’t take my shoe telling me the food is all free. Free? I don’t know that currency, I’m overdressed and hungry, boy! They had a Starbucks tent, if you’d believe it, and into it a gigantic queue that bent around the house. It’s only been a few months since the very first Starbucks opened in Warsaw so let’s understand, it’s probably still considered holy.

Thank you to Min and Annie from for the awesome gifts. Check out Schwing Schwing, an online shop based in Singapore that sells delicious and afforable clothes & accessories. :D They ship to all international addresses and the shop is regularly updated with new pieces. Have I mentioned that they’re also incredibly kind? (Thanks Samantha for telling me about them!)

My first Gmarket box arrived containing 2 black bags, the beige suede jacket, white sheet dress and hey, a blue beanie as a bonus! (which, by the way, doesn’t fit my head, it does fit my fist though.)

The bags are faux-leather so I fully anticipated it to look cheap, but once you carry it a bit, the way it slouches in the right places it really doesn’t look all that bad. Then again I’m very easily pleased – I get happy when I meet a fox in the courtyard, so I may be the wrong person to be writing this review. The suede bolero/jacket thing was a bit of a disappointment though – since it’s single-sheeted, it’s got no lining fabric, so you could see the mediocre stitching. Still, it’s got a very healthy looking sheen to it and the fabric is über light for summer. Gmarket items seem to be quite similar in price and quality to H&M, so that could be a quality reference for those who were wondering. What you pay is what you get, isn’t it in most cases?

Now please excuse me, I must go restock on some sleep as my life is slipping through my fingers and running away with the milkman. Sorry for the dead-ness of late.

After having dropped out of the fashion world for a week I find myself incredibly exhausted going through the piles and piles of posts in bloglovin’. Trust me, I love it, but there’s something about this fashion world that seems to be like a selfish running train that never really stops, you just need to pick up your pace and scramble on…

Also having boring thoughts about the philosophy of fashion, the worshipping of material and models, are we really celebrating creativity or is it the golden cow of today’s society? Actually, that’s  just another rhetorical question that we all know the answer to.

Hope your weekend was phun. <3
