I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

McArthurGlen Denim Icons campaign, shot by photographer Nick Haddow

Chuffed – That’s probably not the most sophisticated word I could’ve dished out and certainly not a word that describes the amazing opportunity that’s being photographed by Nick Haddow, but that’s the word I’ll stand by when it comes to this McArthurGlen global campaign that I can finally share with you today.

I would never label myself an icon or a model (model what – model citizen? I pick up after my neighbour’s puppy, if that’s what they mean) of any sort, I was invited to be one of McArthurGlen’s Denim Icons, which at first I hesitated to accept. But the hero of the campaign was to be Denim, and the iconic versatility of it – so I accepted. Figured I owed a lifetime worth of uniform anyway – skinny, ripped, bleached or cut-off at any given junction in life…. and if it meant a few hours with Nick, then heck, let’s call meself an Icon. McArthurGlen Outlets so happen to have ridiculous discounts on designer/high-street denim too so happy to front that intelligent shopping game at the same time.

In collaboration with McArthurGlen; thoughts and opinions are my own as usual.

A slightly-too-early-to-function breakfast in the clouds

Leather jacket – Day Birger et Mikkelsen. Padded down-vest – Uniqlo. Silk top – Partimi via A Boy Named Sue. Wool dress – ASOS. Boots – ASOS. Bag – Kurt Geiger. Scarf – DIY Knitted snood. Body rope – Brook & Lyn.

Ohh I feel like one of those plastic baby dolls that have eyelids that close when you tilt horizontally, or a roly poly toy… anyhoo, the world is swinging. I’d always wondered what sorcery was behind the mechanism for the eyelids, but I’ve figured it out now. Them dolls too must’ve gotten up at stupid-o-clock to get on a bus full of 6am bobbing heads and cerealy morning breath, and cruised down along a rose-coloured sunrise to have breakfast on the 40th floor at Duck & Waffle. I must’ve still been asleep when ordering too, because I asked for breakfast tea instead of coffee, and ordered sourdough bread with Nutella and a bowl of fruit in yoghurt – all the things we have IN ABUNDANCE at home. Hubby went for a glorious full on English breakfast with a cup of americano – perfect choice, really – so I challenged him to find North out the window and I stole a strip of bacon or five.

Book an insane-o-clock breakfast at Duck & Waffle (open 24/7, believe it or not, but book in advance) when you’re next in town, or a dinner, but make sure you arrive around 5pm for drinks and see the best show as the sun sets and the city lights up. The view is spectacular, and the lift down (Floor 40 to 1 express) adds to the whole thrill. The price-point isn’t too bad too – £12 for hubby’s  full-on fuel on, and £7ish for my sleepyhead bird food, plus caffeine. It’s really an unbelievable way to start a murky-weather Monday, but now I’m going to bed and sleeping like a dead person.

Crème de la Mer, the Moisturizing Soft Cream

I grew up to the sound of slapping – my mother slapping serums and lotions into her face every morning and evening, that is – nothing at all to do with being a tiger-mum, oh nooo. (Come back after midnight and I’ll share some gory details of me growing up a Korean kid with absolutely no talent for maths) We kept the dressing table in my room even before I had my first acne, but the light was always good in the morning and for years I’d jolt awake to wild noises of my mother’s extensive skincare routine… and in a couple of years once I’d grown a pair of boobs it’d become mine. Layering skincare is no secret to modern women, and while I won’t deny that my mother’s clap-fest was probably more fuelled by the horsepower in her arms than some kind of dedication for good skin, slapping – or ‘firm’ patting – is a neat trick that helps stimulate blood-flow, which makes the skin more receptive to ingredients. Plus, it also raises the skin temperature ever so slightly which means products can seep deeper! So that’s my little skincare tip, whacking in all those layers in and hoping I won’t pop an eyeball.

I’ve been meaning to share the few products I use daily, but this Crème de la Mer review + shoot I did for Editer.com came at a great time so I thought I’d start with this. Make sure to check out for the little treat that Crème de la Mer are offering to Editer.com readers: a deluxe 7ml travel size of the Moisturizing Soft Cream with any purchase at www.cremedelamer.co.uk (just use ‘EDITER‘ when you check out)!

Leather Jacket & grey top – Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Trousers – ASOS, Shoes – Topshop, Bag – Warehouse, Rings – Daisy London, White Top – Diana Orving; Thank you Jen for the outfit snaps!

Never in the history of fashion (or mankind in fact, during PG hours at least) has ‘I’m so wet’ been used so loosely as today. You could hear It’s not London if there’s no rain being tossed around the courtyard matter-of-factly, but hi, I’ve been living in London for the past 5 years and I can tell you it rarely rains like this. It’s like all the bottled up pissin’ rainin finally blew up in the form of a bucket dump, subjecting us of all to a very bad case of sky PMS. So as streetstyle I logged a record-breaking number of photos of hunched miserable looking folk (I’m thinking of JAK & ILL) so we just ended up chain-lattéing under the Fernandez & Wells café parasol and debated on whether 6 inch heels and hobbling is truly a necessity to a LFW outfit.

On a separate note, Jen and I noticed the Union Jack at the top of Somerset House is black and white?!
