I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

Getting Ready for ‘Touch of Red’ Campari party

For an inherent night owl I do have a painfully day wardrobe… Guess I’m the kind of owl that rearranges all the rats and bunnies by size and colour in my little hole in the willow tree, and writes a blog, instead of going out to dance with the bats. I guess it’s also not really surprising that I packed a Uniqlo men’s plaid shirt to wear as a skirt for the Campari party in Milan – that’s the extent of my creativity, second to wearing the right shoe on the left foot and vice versa. So arty farty… ridiculous, right?

So I got some help from WOK boutique in Milan, introduced to me by Farfetch, for a look a little more presentable. It’s not the usual frock-the-size-of-a-handkerchief look but if you look closer the OC boots do tease with ‘stripper-boots’ platforms so I guess that made it all appropriate for the evening. One thing I didn’t realise, is that Farfetch is not really one huge e-retailer like I thought all along, but actually a hotpot of quirky small backstreet boutiques all around the world… talk about accessibility!

Ice coffee, Summer rolls and Beef Pho at Viet Grill, 58 Kingsland Road; Thank you Kit for the outfit shots.

This is why I can’t let go of this blog, because that last post was apparently an equivalent to sobbing into a tub of ice-cream (somewhat), and so many kind readers came and asked what’s wrong and told me everything will be okay. Well, I mean, some did wander off into the bedroom and complimented on the curtains, but then again I can’t blame them, holding a tub of icecream does not necessarily mean I’m brooding. I guess one can simply like icecream. I disgress, I just wanted to thank you for the comments and emails of encouragement – I know it’s a simple matter of finding a bad trait in the blog and trying hard to turn it off, but I cherish the interaction. I mean, I will probably break something if someone asks again about my camera equipment, but you know what I mean.

Also wanted to welcome Jen back to London. The gang (Jen, Kit, myself) got together and discussed the usual blogging affairs, politics and a certain delinquent over Pho and ice coffee at Viet Grill on Kingsland Road.

This is also first instalment of Uniqlooks for June. There’s a grool contest going on – enter and win a trip to a Uniqlo flagship store in New York, London, Paris, Shanghai or Tokyo!

I know my way around the neighbourhood, and Guess is not an alley I usually go down. Of course, having the tendency of an alleycat when it comes to blogging, I gave it a good snooping session at the Vogue & Guess Jewellery event in February – a sniff here and a nibble there. Turns out it’s not all just bling + all-American girls + bedazzled enviable chest lumps. This is not me saying hey sparkle-overload, you’re awesome, but they do have the odd great item that shine among the bling. Ironically the ‘treasures’ – the simpler items – were hidden amidst the classic Guess forest. For me the only thing that can sparkle on the chest is when I’m a loser vampire in a badly written book.

Thank you Charlotte for inviting me down; and thank you Abi for the outfit shots!

Thank you Jill for the photo!

I refuse to smile for pictures until my broadband problem is resolved. Hrmph! (If anyone knows how to reason with this kid in me, please, pass the monkey bars and tyre swings – she’s hiding under the slide, that one rocking back and forth muttering in a funny language.)

On a completely different note, Nowness were so kind to feature a few of my world flea market picks on Sunday, check it out here!

I know this sounds like a broken record, or an overachieving techno number, but I’m just so exhausted exhausted exhausted doo-doo-beep beep….beep-de-ree-doo-doo…

Would PRs like some quality coverage on shows, because it would help to receive some tickets when requested, you know. And don’t you dare email me later and ask me to blog about the lookbooks of the latest collection, or stream the show in a post. I don’t give a flying rat’s ass about which celebrity wore your brand also, neither do my readers.

Thank you Jill for taking those shots of me.
