I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

After Chanel Pressday near Green Park #teenvogue

London’s sporting bittercold wind lately, looks like Winter’s at the doorstep. Funnily, I was perfectly warm at the top despite the hole-punched glory of the jacket, but my legs were absolutely freezing in the leather pants. Turns out the pants had ‘breathing holes’ and let wind in like a mosquito net…
Speaking of Holepunch… Doesn’t it remind you of when you’re young and in school you try punching through a thick wad of paper but because the holepuncher is from a  Tesco and previously used by your brother to punch through lego it only does half a hole? Then you end up having to tear out each hole-flap but it comes off with a tail and all the holes look like teardrops… good old days. For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, YOU SHOULD’VE STAYED IN SCHOOL.

Thank you Nadia for the photos!

  2. I love that jacket!

  3. Luckily, it’s been in the 60s in Michigan this week. But I cannot fully enjoy the weather knowing that somewhere, winter is waiting patiently, biding its time to sweep in to campus and make my teeth chatter.

I know what you mean with the hole punch. If I had that jacket, I would play with it ceaselessly.

  4. @Satpreet,

    (That’s why I don’t own expensive things)

  5. What a beautiful outfit!! I love the jacket and that scarf looks ever so warm! (but I’m sure I would drop food or something on it and ruin the perfect whiteness of it).

haha yes we had a terrible hole punch so I know exactly what you mean!!

  6. Your outfit is awesome! and i LOVE love LOVE your jacket

  14. Holey Moley! (come on, that’s funny, no?) Anyway, I love the (w)hole combination and I totally know what you mean – so thank good I don’t need to be in school anymore, though I have been wondering forever what this hole punching thing is called in the English language… Hole puncher!? How very fitting.

  15. you got me into this layering. I want to thank you for that. I get so much more inspired by my outfits now.. have a great week:)!

  16. Thank God it’s fall/winter, the blissful season of layering! I hate summer because of the fact that you can’t layer in 30 degrees… ;) I love the combination of metallics, mint, neutrals and black leather. So jealous of your jacket!!

  17. Beautiful Shini!

  18. perforated leather – like. i hate that some punchers punch crooked.

  19. The sequins are so bland…no bland is not the word, subdued is more like it. And so is the green dress underneath. Maybe it is the photography editing.

  20. Hmm I got a new monitor and I’m having troubles coping with the contrast and RGB value differences…I don’t know which one’s right! I guess my laptop colours are right, since you can notice that…hm

  21. @Shini, I don’t want to get caught up in the details though. I would love to have the skills ot navigate Gmarket. Lord knows I have tried twice now.

  22. Feel free to ask for help! I think you get used to it after the epileptic screen fit… Thanks for letting me know about the colours, I don’t know what’s the original anymore ARG.

  23. oooooooooh chanel! the perks of being a blogger! ;P
thanks for your comment. i’m afraid the only photo i’ve got of my make-up made-up face is a public bathroom shot, lol. definitely not blog post worthy. hehe

  24. GUUuR then I wanna see it privately! buhahahaa

  25. I like, like, like, like, your shoes and jacket!!!!!!!

  26. Heehee. Yeah that’s exactly what it reminds me of. I love that jacket and feel I’ve seen it somewhere.. so it is yours to keep? Where is Monnari? How much money are we talking about? It LOOKS expensive.

Agree tho: the ASOS leather trousers are giving me a chill just looking at them. I never got it about leather trousers. I love tho that hint of pale lime green chiffon from the dress.. altogether it’s a beautifully styled look, and the boots and trousers give it that wonderful unexpected hard edge. But especially – this is so subtle but as a fellow graphic designer I can really appreciate your colour sense – the black/white and then just a bit of light green are so perfectly accented by the blue of the Chanel bag. It reminds me of 60s colours: so crisp fresh and spring like cheerful on a cold day.

Top marks, Shini! So you did go to Chanel press day? We were right near each other, I was @ Jaeger. Ships passing in the day. xox

  27. Haha Monnari is a Polish brand for mother-types. How much money? My brother paid £40, it was a birthday gift from him hahaaa

I did go to Chanel, Owh were you at Jaeger? I was going to go but nothing worked out that day, missed out on 2 different pressdays as well… oh so is life.
