Images taken from Hugo Boss blog womenswear fitting post; Graphics by Park & Cube
Just a small shoutout to let you know the Hugo Boss AW12 show will be streamed live on their official blog on January 19, 2012, at 01:30 p.m. (CET); during the show there will be a sweepstake on their Facebook. Despite this being a sponsored post and all (sell-out, who me?), I had a looksie at some of the fitting images on their blog and actually quite looking forward to the show. Clean-cut lines, polished metal and candy colours, sign me up anytime. I’m packing – not to Berlin, sadly – but to Florence once again, so I will
be joining in viewing through the hotel’s frail wi-fi connection overlooking the Arno river while chucking breakfast gelato cone at seagulls. Bis bald!
Apologies for the uncharacteristically commercial nature of the post, I’m trying out different sponsored campaign methods and would love to hear your two cents if you had any throw my way. No pun intended. Major credit cards also accepted.
my dear, it is YOUR blog. Do as you wish!
Love the graphics by the way :)
awesome!

I love live Fashion Shows in the comfort of my own home. Looking forward to this one :)
Thank you for sharing.
Tak długo, jak reklamowane rzeczy możesz sama z czystym sumieniem polecić – nie można mieć nic przeciwko :) Sponsor zawsze się przyda.
Yeah, just rock on, Shini.
i agree with the other comments – do as you wish with your blog! either way, it’s always a pleasure reading your posts.. looking forward to the live stream!

O.o Sponsored post?!!!! Sighhhhhh Zzzzzzz.
Have a lovely time in Florence, I love that city…go to Garden of Eden it’s beautiful there.
It’s a bit uncharacteristic, but I don’t necessarily mind it– I think you should post what you want, sponsored or not, because it’s your blog and you have to please yourself first (: Thanks for the reminder and I hope that you have a lovely rest of the week. Safe travels to Florence again! xx
I don´t mind reminders for live streamed shows at all, I would never catch them otherwise :)
I’m loving the live streaming!

Yess, Indeed! It’s your *freakin* blog so do what you want to do with your blog! Don’t think too much what other people maybe think!
I doooooooo, customer service, you see :'( xxxx
@Shini,
Yessss I know what you mean! Other opinions are sometimes nice to have, but your own intuition and your own feelings are the best things to follow!
A sponsored post once in a while don’t hurt a blog! ;)
Keep up the good work! Love reading your blog!
I’ve been reading your blog for a while, and I have to say I admire how you manage to make also commercial posts into entertaining reading. I might be a bit picky, but I feel that is not too common in the blogging world. Your posts are always a pleasure to read, whatever their content, so please keep doing whatever you want!
Have a lovely time in Firenze!
my two cents, since you asked: I’d prefer the ad at the end of a usual outfit post (if that’s an option).
Great colors.

Good job on the graphics. you know this shit!
So long as you’re being compensated then go for it, we all need to live – non?
Now if you were to sell out on us, promote stuff we don’t think you truly like and make every post commercial, THEN I would be tad disappointed because I LOVE your blog!
I like how you have the sponsored post label, kinda like a clothes label, on the side of the post. The post is informative and may be interesting for people to hear about how to tune into the show, but I think its really good to make the sponsored angle explicit. I have nothing against sponsored posts – maybe you have fabulous things to give away in the future? :P After all it is your blog so you can pick and choose whether you do a particular sponsored post or not – surely you must have been interested to post it?

Hi Shini,
I just wanted to say I appreciate how transparent and self-aware you are about sponsorship on your blog. Obviously it’s reasonable that you be compensated for your time working on your blog, but not everyone is as honest about the inherent tension of monetization. It also helps to have a sense of humour, like you!
As for my two cents, I’m not a huge fan of this style of sponsored post, but that’s tempered by the fact that you at least injected your own voice into the promotional material. Anyway, as others have said, it is your blog after all, and a few posts like this now and then definitely won’t stop me from visiting.
Cheers!
Thanks for the tip!
you lost me at going to florence again. lucky girl.
graphics = a+
sponsors = a+
go for it.
Ah, I’ve heard of the live streaming – how exciting!
Haha, Shini you’re so funny sometimes. I can tell you really dislike these kinds of posts, and are reluctant to post them. Yes, although it’s your blog, you do think about its content and your readers. I honestly think your blog is fine (scratch that) AMAZINGGREATINTRIGUING the way it is without commercial-y/sponsored posts. I really do love your blog! Keep being awesome! <3
A girl has got to eat right?
Totally don’t mind you doing sponsored posts and I appreciate how transparent you are about them. There’s nothing worse than someone pawning off a post they’ve been paid to do as if it was their own original content.
Plus, you have no ads on your blog.
On the other hand there is something precious about a blog that hasn’t been tainted by the advertorial lure of brands. But, then again… does that really exist anymore? It’s better for you to be paid to put something up then to be sent loads of freebies.
Do what you want Shini. I don’t think it will influence how anyone feels about your blog. xx
I just discovered your blog and am blown away by your style, your thoughts, your photos. I’ve always been a great fan of quality. Your site is the bar to which I have to raise my own:)
fab!!!^^
i love it ;)

nope, aslong as the post look pretty as they always do sponsered post won’t bother me at all!
I much prefer your way of sponsorship– I like sponsored posts in a way that is genuine. Ads on the side are really passive, this is a more pleasant way of showing that you’re human!
