I've moved on...
...to a different domain. Why, what were you thinking? The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! The hormonal imbalance and jokes are more terrible on CUBICLE, see you there.

recap is synchronizing with my release-the-Kraken time of the month? Like clockwork! I hate you! I love you. Nowadays this seems to be the only thing that helps keep track of time… this and an evil pile of bills that clog up the mailbox but never-mind that because I don’t believe they exist, realllllllly, it’s just a fantasy. (Hubby says he’s got it, such a man) Anyhow, just a quick one for today – the classic striped top that just about goes with anything, done up in three ways. Mind, I might’ve butchered the fail-safe classic with the parachute-dress, but right now that floats my hormonal boat so please let’s just call it an outfit.

Rollover to activate numbers
Popped by AA while in Berlin (I swear it’s psychological, the need to visit ZARA even if you’re in the middle of a desert) – they were handing out free pots of stockroom Nail Lacquer with every purchase. Score!
Finally, the season of roll-ups and light-coloured denim! Would love to give it a good slashing session a la Acne or do this again.
Cosy outdoor space spotted at the Breakfast Club in Islington (31 Camden Passage); imagining a sunny Sunday brunch with a blanket over your lap while the last breeze of winter pass under the table.
Instant mood-lifter and favourite silk scarf of the moment – artist Gene Meyer for Alice & Olivia SS12
Pastel pink sandals by Zara, pairs perfectly with boyfriend jeans and plain white shirt (2)
Mexicana! This and a beach-side seafood dinner please. (Tapas in Marbella sounds good!?) ASOS Mexican print skater dress
Winter sale splurge at Yoox, Missoni boots with wood-imitation metal heels. Totally Curb-to-taxi heels, unfortunately.
Pick-me-up pieces, as good as it gets: DanniJo Raffaella necklace and Samudra Shark Clutch
Maska Ellinore knitted dress – an attempt at sporty knits but falling short with flabby arms. Bottle of cider in hand clearly of no help. Yes that’s the cap on the rose…
As a light-drinker, a sniff of anything over 5% alcohol and I’m gone-o, but I find Rekordelig does a good job of merrymaking. I like to think of it as spiked juice with good brand identity, and you know what gets me buzzing, give me a well-designed label and it’s guaranteed happy-hour.

Coat – ZARA, Cashmere poloneck – Uniqlo, Pants – H! By Henry Holland, Shoes – ZARA, Bag – Coach, Missoni Scarves – Style Passport

Hubby: Oh, is that a new scarf now?

Me: No, it’s just me foaming at the mouth looking at that girl wearing leggings as pants…. and a bit of latté-fluff I spilt this morning while I was knitting on my bicycle at a red light.

Hubby: Hope you haven’t been using your helmet as a yarn basket…

Me:

Hubby: You’re a dumbass.

Giving Missoni scarves a chance. It’s so frilly it makes me want to cry a little but the loose mohair crochet reminds me of my Rodarte-craza circa 2009 and the fact that it looks like a jellyfish makes it a whole lot more interesting than a boring little cashmere scarf. I did not just say that, sorry.

Thank you hubby for helping with the shots & Style Passport for the scarf

Really, with studding DIY, all you need is imagination or inspiration. Hey, you don’t need anyone’s instructions to figure out how to stud the hell out of every inanimate object.

Check out the great DIY for the Studded Balmain Blazer done by the stylish Gennie from Maison des Rêveries. Love her blog, although most of the time I come out sobbing because of all the food and Chloés she dangles…

Such a perfect layering garment that would add instant texture and shape. I’ve never actually knitted clothes before so I’m getting ready for hours of frustration and potential stabbing of self with knitting needle.

Finally the weekend. Have a great one!
