Hello, what’s up? My dog ate my keyboard. Once again I got an overwhelmingly positive response for a post and this time I just had to take a step back and bask in that momentary bliss, shedding the occasional hot tear that would fall in the wine glass that I’d drink from while bobbing my head to Alanis Morissette. (Fact: it is actually impossible to bob head to AM) Recycle-chic, you saw it here first. Let’s get back with the program, shall we – and what better way than to let trusty old Uniqlooks to press the resume button! Over to you, dotty blouse. Wish I could fake it and pretend this was shot relatively recently but snow in London – the kind that stays white below the ankles – is so rare that we all know these looks were shot that particular day over a week ago. Not sure which day it was, but I’m pretty sure it’s the one where lots of babies will be born exactly nine months down the line because heck I’ve never seen a city that doesn’t actually clean the snow. Hands up if you live in London and own a snow shovel? Of course, yours truly is out in the streets with the hubby only getting as intimate as getting a snowball in the face. Oh the things I write in this blog to keep it PG-13… (apparently thirteen-year-olds are the key to blogging success, hey)

There you have it – three different-ish ways to wear a wine-red pea coat and the last installment of Uniqlooks for 2012. It’s beyond me how I’ve managed to do this series for over a year now (Commitment? Never met him), I wish I did it with a gym membership or something because now I can’t find any shoes that will go with my post-Crimbo muffin top. Did you have a good Christmas/break? High-five if you too can’t tie your shoelaces anymore (that’s why we invest in velcro soulutions).

Our family stopped decorating for the holidays ever since that one year we had our tree, fairy lights lit and all, up until about May – I joke not. The tree was one of those huge firry fake ones where the arms fold down and comes in a huge box, which we kept in the attic. January hit, and once it was a decent time for the tree to retire, my brother and I were instructed to unload the baubles and fold the tree away, but of course neither of us had grown a pair to brave the cold, dark attic. You must remember, we’re Korean, so our ghosts aren’t those adorable blobs with a sheet over its head that go ‘wooo‘, ours is a skinny byotch with jet-black hair over her face and looks like she’s been trapped in a well for a decade (oh yeah, so no fingernails). So you get it, why the tree came to live with us until summer, and since that tear we never bothered to decorate. In fact I wonder what happened to that tree… probably became a salad once the girl in the attic realized no one was coming up there for her to gorge on. So I love seeing all the holiday decorations up in London, what a feat! and to the brave, diligent folks who will have to take it all down in a few weeks… I salute you.

Woah, another post! There’s no tomorrow, haven’t you heard, so I’m doing it all with full gusto. When the world will implode on the 21st swallowing all but cockroaches, eventually a nova-species will rise from the muck – mutants with Ethernet cable-tails – and before you know it, it will be heatedly debated among the three-headed scholars how this poor lass they call ‘blogger’ suffered from Compulsive Posting Disorder, and exactly what kind of computation error occurred for her to wear an evening bag during the day. Kids will be quizzed on it, some will fail, and some will go to university.

Said lass will also have four chocolates left in her advent calendar if the world does decide to end on the 21st, which is probably not true anyway seeing as how her husband was spotted popping thumbnail-sized milk chocolates behind the sofa.

In lieu of what I wrote the other day, about how my life is spectacularly extra, extra ordinary, and that dressing is dressing up, this post comes at good time. I’m not going to pretend and say this is what I wear when I’m, for example, at home eating a perfectly-cut bowl of fruit or reaching for a CD from the top shelf. Who uses CD’s anymore, anyway? (Wait, I don’t get dressed for Spotify either.) My floordrobe consists of pieces that specifically weren’t made for my gender (brother’s old sweatshirt, hubby’s cardigan…etc), which shuffles slightly depending on what time of the month it is and whether I want to smell of smeared chocolate or not. Gap asked for my favourite winter basics from their current season to be edited into a Christmas wishlist, and I thought it might be fun to shoot a few scenarios and what I wish I were wearing, had I been blessed with diligence, or common hygiene.
