The truth is, I just woke up one day and decided it's time for a change—a metamorphosis, if you will; or, in layman's terms, if Britney can shave her head, then maybe so can I? Nevertheless, it's been a rather handsome 10 years of talking to you, and thank you for putting up with all my moodswings and terrible dad jokes. Fear not! Noticed I was singing the ABC song while painting this, is that why I only know the song up to J?

Something about rainbows remind me of scales – the ABC’s, the 123’s, the Do-Re-Mi’s – and if those are building blocks to amazing reads and Kiss from a Rose‘s then what will my nails build today?! <Insert corny life lesson> Probably just a few snags on my tights and nail-marks on important documents. Reminds me of them Crayola markers that smell good but don’t taste good.

    I love your nail colours. Bright rainbow colours always remind me of being a child. My daughter also loves having multi coloured nails.

    who’s holding the camera? my guess if you, you’re wearing it around your neck. or you have it on a tripod and you were kneeling behind it and stretching your hands in front? hahaha, useless description, but i’m just imagining the many ways you could of possibly achieved this photograph. beautiful nails, by the way. perfect for such a horrible, grey day.

    Wow throwback! I used to love doing that to my nails in middle school. I just might have to try this again at some point. It’s nice that I can look back and ignore the massive amounts of awkward that were my teenage years and just remember the good things, like crayola nails!

    The taste of crayola markers? haha, i’m not so sure about that, but i do know that i now have the urge to paint my nails something other than the crimson they are right now

    I love Chanel nail polish although I find that two top coats are needed. This is a great color scheme but I know that is all that fandangled design knowledge.

    The smell of Crayola MARKERS? And everyone’s reminiscing about Crayola MARKERS? See this is when it hits me like a brick on the head: even tho I feel at times like your invisible twin, I really am a whole lot o’ older than you because *in my day* they were called CRAYONS. They were made of wax. They came in yellow and green boxes and there was even a little build in pencil sharpener so you could sharpen the points. And very tidy girls like me kept theirs in pristine conditions with the colours exactly in the order they came in.. DAMN that’s what I want for Christmas.

    Actually that’s what I should get you for your blirthday. If they even still exist.
