Thank you Jill for the photo!
I refuse to smile for pictures until my broadband problem is resolved. Hrmph! (If anyone knows how to reason with this kid in me, please, pass the monkey bars and tyre swings – she’s hiding under the slide, that one rocking back and forth muttering in a funny language.)
On a completely different note, Nowness were so kind to feature a few of my world flea market picks on Sunday, check it out here!
ahhh…stunning! (even if you’re not smiling ;)….)…
shini, if you one day decided to stop posting pictures and only write, you would still be my favorite blogger.
I agree, even if you’re not smiling the picture is really great!
Don’t worry, some of the great pictures ever happens when we’re not smiling! ^^
xx
You’re semi-smiling….kinda. Ha. That face just doesn’t go with a frown! It’s too pretty ;)

That super-long leather skirt is gorgeous. So ladylike!
Doesn’t the photo remind you of a scene from one of those classic movies from the 70’s? It’s stunning!
Even disgruntled, you look lovely. Hate when my internet fails!
Bright Green Laces
I would feel the same way Shini! Living in a developing country I’ve had my fair share of connectivity problems and I know they’re far from fun. In other news you look gorgeous :)
Great look! Love the leather skirt and the bag!
Hope your broadband problem get fixed soon.
Shini you look so effortlessly beautiful !!! I love the skirt !!!
Gorgeous ! Please, keep that kid in you !
I feel for you, Shini. My sister has moved to a flat in the center of Berlin and has been waiting for telephone and broadband connection for over 3 months now. English laissez-faire (sorry, French for lack of better word) must surely beat German efficiency!
Would like to hear more about the skirt, it’s quite something and looks wonderful on you.
chin up! we went two months without broadband, it gets better… great outfit, I like the mix of heavy leather and delicate, sheer socks.
Ooo I love this look, very New Yoky.
Both of my Kate Kanzier undersoles came off…must get it repaired before my trip to ***** this month :S

I love this outfit it is stunning!
Ugh, not having broadband is the worst! I’m dreading moving. Hope you get it sorted soon! x
Sending empathy. BT cut me off last year by re-assigning my phone number to a new customer. It took weeks to sort out, soooo frustrating. xx
Hahaha, I was going to say I LOVE that photo and ask who shot it. How funny, thank you for crediting me. I am loving that trilogy of crisp black white and camel/nude/whatever you want to call the word tan. I love those shoes and socks.
I was wondering why I hadn’t heard from you, hoping it wasn’t something I said.. I really feel for you. We had terrible intermittent broadband for years – nightmare. Turns out we had to get ours ‘locked down’, someone was using it to transmit really powerful files, like 100x normal.. we really were going crazy about it – it’s somehow reassuring to see that other people have the same problems.
Oh! One other time they fixed it (temporarily) – some guy came round and did something on the street and said it was a ‘technical’ problem. I said oh good, I was afraid it was psychological. I asked what the technical problem was and his reply was ‘A brick.’ I didn’t question him further.
Now you can still smile in general, right? just not for pictures.
I’m having major skirt envy right now. You look gorgeous
Great shot Jill! x

You are so sweet Shini :)
I love the transparent socks! Hah, but of course the whole outfit is lovely as well :)

Lovely shoes-and-socks!
Oh I really hope you manage to sort out your broadband soon….complete and utter nightmare. Your outfit here is lovely and that bag looks like it would sooo double as a nice cushion er…because we all know how handy a cushion would be when you’re out and about! Hmm!
how can you possibly be grumpy with an outfit so rad.
socks and nude shoes = epic
